Digital Prints FAQs
What is a digital print?
A digital print is an instantly downloadable file of my original art and design that you can print at home or at a printing service of your choice. No physical print is mailed to you, rather you will receive an email after your purchase with a link to a Zip Folder that you can download and unzip to access the files that came as outlined with your purchase.
It is a fast and cost-effective option for purchasing original art. The process is easy: purchase, download, print, and decorate or gift!
What files and sizes are included?
Each digital print purchase includes a link to a Zip Folder that you will receive via email immediately after purchase. Download and unzip the folder to access high resolution (300 DPI) JPEG files formatted perfectly for printing to the photo size that corresponds to the measurements in the file name. The file sizes match the most common U.S. frame and print sizes. File sizes for each digital art print differ per the design and are as outlined on the purchasing page for each digital art print.
How are CUSTOM digital prints different?
Custom digital prints are purchased by size. After your purchase I create your personalized design with the information you are prompted to provide during your purchase. I then email you the 300 DPI high-resolution JPEG file, matching the dimensions you selected, within 24 hours after you complete your purchase. You can then download the file and print!
How should I print my art?
If printing on your home printer, you should not need to fit-to-page, crop, or change the original file. Of course, most home printers will only have the capacity to print the 5x7 and 8x10 files. These files are sized for easy printing on standard 8.5” x 11” paper. I recommend printing on a heavier paper, like cardstock. After printing, I recommend using a straight-edge paper cutter for trimming.
An alternative to printing at home is to upload the file to a photo developer or print center, like Mpix, Shutterfly, Costco, Walgreens, Walmart, Office Max, Staples, etc. for pickup or delivery of your print. I recommend choosing matte or fine art paper for your print. You can also print on canvas.
Due to differences in monitor and printer calibrations, colors may appear different in print than on screen. The final print quality will depend on the type of printer and paper used.
Are digital prints protected by Copyright?
Yes, the original artwork, files, and your prints are protected by copyright laws, and the copyright remains with 11:11 by KJ. Your purchase of digital print files includes a personal license to print the artwork as many times as you would like for personal use. Modifying the art or files, sharing the files, or selling the files and/or art print is prohibited.
Do you offer other file sizes?
If the size you wish to print is not included in the file sizes that are included with your purchase, please contact me to see if I can create your custom size.
